Southhampton is a long, long way away.
Defiance, Ohio, where I am, is pretty much Ground Zero for the French & Indian war (Queen Anne's war). Fallen Timbers is about 40 miles away. Pontiac was actually born where Fort Defiance went up a number of years later. The parking lot of our church was put over what turned out to be a cemetery for a fort that pre-dated Fort Defiance in the very early 1700s.

Of course, compared to Merrie Olde England, the 1700s are yesterday.
