RE: Firing Arcs
Hi Andy,
It has been a long time since this came up The intent was to show the effect of facing and leading a target on the aircraft FF gun arcs accurately. The text in example 32.3-2 is correct. An aircraft carrying a right facing change would have a gun arc along the 180 line and to the right, it's nose is somewhere between the 180 line and to the right since the facing change is not complete. An aircraft completing a right facing change would have a gun arc left and to the 180 line, the gun arc show where the nose has been and target in that arc may be engaged. I would never spin reality just to be different Cheers, Steve |
